Bali, Indonesia

Fabio's last day of class was April 18, and while his students crammed for their final exam we set off for a week in Bali! It really doesn't seem fair until you're on the winning side of that arrangement... then it seems perfectly right!

We spent most of our time in the hills of Bali, in a region called Ubud. The weather was a little cooler, the scenery was beautiful, and the food was great. We had such a relaxing time biking through terraced rice paddies,

visiting ancient holy water temples,

Riding an elephant through ponds and jungle trails,

petting a three-week-old elephant baby,

and taking in this view from our hotel balcony.

We enjoyed taking in a new culture as we drove from artisan village to artisan village,

especially when we stumbled on a semi-annual religious procession where the women walk miles to the temple with large fruit offerings balanced on their heads.

What more could you ask for? Well, if your name is Jonathan your answer would be a monkey family living on your hotel grounds and an infinity pool hanging over the Ayung River Gorge that you would swim in with your awesome dad every day.

Check.

And check.

Yet another relaxing reminder that our life is really, really good.
